WPV is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Sr. Wellness & community engagement RN

This key, full time position is one that motivates and engages WPV's clients and their employees in ways that result in positive health outcomes for the worksite population. This is a visible health and wellness role model who helps to identify and prioritize risks and opportunities and connects leaders and employees with high-value well-being resources. The primary duties of this role are to offer on-site well-being services including: Biometric screenings, flu shots, drug testing, health education, nurse wellness coaching, smoking cessation, nutrition management, fitness planning and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a clinical leader, coordinator and supervisor as well as providing the following services:

  • Biometric screenings
  • Flu immunizations
  • Blood Pressure Screenings
  • Nutrition management, fitness planning, well-being guidance and coaching
  • Condition and case management
  • Drug testing

Act as an employee advocate for WPV's clients, going above and beyond to provide expert, proactive services such as:

  • Recommendations for Primary Care Physicians and Specialists
  • Establishing realistic personal health & wellness goals and providing an action plan to reach those goals
  • Recommendations for high quality, best cost, evidence based treatment options
  • Education to help simplify and navigate the healthcare system
  • Outreach to community primary and specialty groups

Deliver Population Health strategic planning and outreach:

  • Evaluate population health metrics and provide action plans including employee outreach, worksite programs and events that target improvement in population health
  • Outreach activities including participating in healthcare and networking events
  • Provide ideas and feedback on marketing materials for better engagement

Well-being Champion

  • Possess a contagious positive attitude that inspires others and models health and wellness
  • Visible resource - actively participating in worksite events and part of worksite fabric
  • Resource for healthy culture/environment in collaboration with leadership, café vendor, real estate services and site well champ
  • Establishes rapport and trust with employees and leadership
  • Coordinates well-being related communications and marketing at the site (posters, desk drops, etc.)
  • Works closely with carriers, insurance brokers, prospective clients, employer wellness champions and/or wellness committee and engagement committees

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted license in NY as a Registered Nurse
  • Certificate from an accredited nursing school or Associates degree in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three year clinical experience in hospital or community setting
  • Health and Wellness Coaching certification preferred
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver health education and programming to motivate and engage
  • Demonstrated ability and experience leading group classes
  • Previous experience in a Wellness and/or Disease Management role
  • Self-directed, self-managed
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable with marketing and promoting WPV’s services
  • Proficient with a variety of computer based clinical care tools/EMR
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Point
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication that is clear, well-organized and demonstrates an understanding of audience needs
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Willingness to travel regularly (primarily upstate NY travel) up to 75% of the time and to work a wide array of hours
  • CPR certification required
  • A reliable vehicle to get you to and from each event is required
  • Physical Requirements - This position requires frequent standing and sitting, bending, talking, listening, reaching above shoulder level, and repetitive motions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.

Per Diem Registered Nurses - Hours Vary

WPV is seeking experienced New York State licensed registered nurses to join our team of innovative health and wellness entrepreneurs in providing immunizations, biometric screenings, on-site nurse coaching and health engagement services, as PER-DIEM staff.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with educating patients about health maintenance and disease promotion as well as experience in maintaining accurate patient medical records. In addition, we are looking for:

·         solid communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service;

·         a proven ability to build rapport with patients;

·         the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; and

·         strong attention to detail.

Additional Requirements:

*   New York State professional registered nursing license
*   Valid New York State driver's license
*  A minimum of three years’ of nursing practice in community-based medical management, behavioral health and/or health promotion.
